  • Yeah they 10’s… I keep um clean though!

Ever since the dawn of car modifying there has been one truth that will always be true, and will always be one of the first things a n00b car modifyer will learn. When you get a car that you are going to modify, the best (and first) thing you shuld do is put some allow wheels on it – and lower it!

These two mod’s alone will totally transform the look of your car, and a lot opf people are totoally happy with it and do nothing else to the outside! However, you need to ensure you keep on top of the brakedust buildup and other crap that loves to stick to your wheels – else your efforts and hard earned cash will of totally gone to waste.

Both myself and a local alloy wheels company that we do some work for agree that the best way to clean your wheels is to use ezactly the same stuff that you use to clean your car. Nothing abrasive, none of these super wheel cleaner sprays – as they could damage the finish of the wheels. Once all the muck is washed off we recommend you use RimWax – which is a wax similar to the stuff you use on your paint work, but with added juicyness that helps remove any final bits of brakedust and aids the wheels in repelling the nasty brake crap and road scum in the future.

It smells like bubblegum (DO NOT EAT IT!) and looks awesome – and does an amazing job of keeping your alloy wheels clean. Smartwax is a brand of cleaning products we have had quite a lot to do with over the last few years, but we are putting all our eggs into the Rim Wax basket now – as we truly believe this product needs to be in the cleaning kits of every detailer, valeter and car cleaner in the country!!

  • Canadian Pro Action Cameras

Since the initial launch of Pro Action Cameras UK, we have really started to make a dent on Action Camera Market – So we thought it was about time to launch the Canadian wing of the ProAction empire.

ProActionCameras.CA is basically the same as the UK version but is in Canadian dollars, the shipping is configured to CA and we hold stock out in our Canadian office so that delivery is still sharp and quick!

All the contact details are all localised too, meaning that when someone wants to get in touch over the pond, they can speak to someone in Canada, in the same time-zone as the customer.

We’re launching the EU and the USA leg soon – watch this space!

  • Stressful Windows Server Hosting

We’ve been a webhost for YEARS now – probably going on 6! But our hosting journey has never catered for the people who run ASP and need windows hosting – its just never come into the picture before – until now anyway.

One of our large customers runs two office furniture websites and one of them has been put together by someone else – using ASP and all the jazz that go’s along with it. Migrating the files was a piece of cake. Fetching the database is a piece of piss too. But when it came to getting everything to sing in perfect harmony – its been a total nightmare.

Thankfully we’ve got our windows server from Craig @ VeloxServ who has been a true saint over the last few weeks trying to help us get it all working properly. The issue we are having is with the ASP.NET session state which is the JuJu that stores all the user info (products in a shopping cart etc) and despite trying everything to get it working and in fact getting the session state to run –  it still wont allow people to add things to the cart!

Hopefully a friend of Adam’s is gonna help us with it tomorrow as this issue has really got us all stumped. Windows hosting, eh – what a load of old shite!

  • ProAction Camera Systems

We’ve been working hard with a company in Nottingham who are expanding into the Online Market for Action Camera systems for Cars, Bikes, Surfers, Snowboard nuts and everything inbetween. They stock camera systems to suit every need, from helmet camera systems, motorsport cameras right through to underwater cameras – all in stock and available for delivery via UPS.

Its a very competitive market, especially online – so we’ve waved the magic SEO wand over their site and made it as search engine friendly as possible. We’ve analyised the market, looked for what people search for, checked the competitors and what we’ve come up with, is www.ProActionCameras.co.uk.

What they wanted to achieve is something in-between the camera sites out there at the moment, cover both the branded stuff (GoPro Cameras, Contour HD Cameras) right through to the unbranded Chinese camera systems that allow there to be a package suitable for every budget.

We’re hoping that the site will do really well in the SERP’s, and despite being unfinished (IE Stylesheet, a few other bits) its already looking like its gonna make a mark on the Action Cameras industry!
