  • And we played and played…

Its great when i meet new friends, either when we are down the park/wood and we bump into someone new or when we go to someones house and they have new friends for me. Well this time i didnt have to do anything! My new friend next door just turned up two nights ago and we have been bestist mates ever since!

I will say this about my new friend, as he’s a baby he’s learning from me – when mum or dad or Hemi’s dad shouts me i go to them and im kinda teaching Hemi what to do, BUT what isnt cool is when i chew a toy – he chews a toy – MY TOY…

And now half my bloody toys are on his garden!

Dad says i have got to share, and that most of the ones he has taken a shine to are my baby toys anyway – but im still a little pissed off about it.

In other news the bloody bangs in the sky have started again and i don’t like them. Jazz told me once that they can get you and steal your sweeties if they get too close so i go inside when i hear the bangs. Dad kept kicking me outside though, something about being a scardy cat – but im not sure if he has noticed but im quite clearly a DOG!

  • Ive got a new playmate!

There was a time when i had my very own playmate next door to mum and dad’s house, his name was Ogey and he was about 400 times bigger than me. But he was my bestist friend in the whole world.

Well when next door were having a new human in the house, they had to let him go live on a big farm cos he was so big he needed lots of room to run about in.

    ANYWAY!

It has been about a year since my best mate went, and last night i was introduced to a new member of the family next door – his name is Hemi and he is only a baby but my dad says he will be as big as Ogey when he grows up!

Dad said he couldn’t get a better photo of him – summat to do with him moving about too much? I don’t know how these picture taking machines work im only a dog! We are all going out for walkies later and im gonna show Hemi the best places to sniff and to find toys etc, its gonna be great!!!!

My dad says he will try and get you all a better photo later if he stays still for long enough!

Here’s another photo of me to keep you all entertained till next time

    Whhhaaaaatttt? I was tired!!!!

  • Well – what have we here then

I had totally forgotten about my blog – my dad has kept it alive for me, and has actually moved it to the root of the domain name. He said something about WordPress mu attracting spam bots and being more trouble than its worth.

So here is my new improved blog – and this time i promise to keep it up to date!

But right now, im a tired puppy so im’a go sleep and talk to you all later.

    TTFN!

  • Horsing around with Local Business Listings?

Haha.. i love a good old play on words!

Over our business life we have met many people, some of them have been great – and some of them have been naaaasssttyyy. We have recently had the pleasure of making a website for the Villa Mar Riding School, Chesterfield. Its a family run operation, and for 18 years have gained a list of satisfied customers longer than both your arms put together – yet for some reason they have been a target of some kind of malicious attack via Google Local Business Listings.

For those that don’t know, GLBL (Nope, thats just what i call it!) is a way of being found on the internet, for free, in your local area. You sign up, the post you a postcard to ensure you actually live there and if someone types in Riding School Chesterfield in, you get a local business entry smack bang at the top of google!

    SIMPLES!

GLBL is a fantastic way of promoting yourself – but, it can also be used against you as it has in this case. According to sources, there are a lot of riding schools in the area, and they are all very competitive. And due to the success of Villa Mar they have taken it upon themselves to add nasty reviews on GLBL about the riding school, meaning anyone looking to go there would instantly be put off.

What do you do if this has happened to you?

Well in a lot of cases when it comes to internet marketing and promotion – fight fire with fire i say! But as GLBL is so public and is kinda out of anyone’s (apart from the mighty G of course) control – I’d say don’t use fire, but just try and highlight the good things and the positive comments so the bad/spam ones are buried.

Get all your existing and previous satisfied customers to visit the GLBL review page and add a nice comment and rate it accordingly, and the more good listings you get the higher your overall rating will be, until its back up to its rightful spot near the 5/5 mark 🙂

You can of course flag the reviews as inappropriate, but I’m afraid if they sound like they could be true then i doubt very much Google will do anything about them as for all they know they could be true – and I’m sure they don’t wish to be responsible for advising someone to go somewhere and them having a terrible experience as a result of it.

For anyone thinking of trying it on a competitor, don’t bother. There are many ways to overcome your competitors on the internet, do it properly and you will always come out on top.
