Ladies and gentlemen, may i present to you.. The smallest hobbit-like wotsit in the world.
The bigger one is a normal sized wotsit, and not only was he found to be picking on the smaller dude, he was also found to be using anaboloc steroids, for which he was removed from his packet and eaten.
The Hobbit wotsit was later found to of committed suicide and, was subsequently eaten as well.
I had been informed of second life by a mate of mine a while back, and i had tried to install it then, with no joy. Im using a Toshiba Satellite S1400-203, and its not the newest laptop in the world but it manages to run pretty much anything i throw at it.
But not second life.
When i install it, and run it, i get the part at the bottom of the screen to log in, and the top part remains blank, where there should be tree’s and second lifey stuff. At first i just presumed it was something to do with the fact my laptop is gettin on a bit, but then i tried it on my girlfriend brand new Dell Inspiron 1520 laptop, that is running vista and runs anything you throw at it better than most..
Still wouldnt work.
After a few google searches, i found that i wasnt the only person having problems getting SL to work on their machines. It appears that even though SL work closely with Intel (the people who make processors and graphics cards and stuff) their game/program is not supported by most Intel graphics cards!
Whats the deal with that??
We can run everything fine on that laptop, Sims2 included.. Yet she cant use SL cos the graphics card used by her brand new laptop, isnt supported.
I wish my blog could reach the people of intel/SL and i wish it would make them recode their application to support all intel chipsets, especially the mobile 965 one 🙂 I just cant understand how something so huge, doesnt support one of the most common forms of modern graphics cards?!
At least im not the only person in the world that thinks it sucks!
On Saturday, many of us got together to celebrate the Marriage of Helen and Phil. I have known them both for many years, and i was not about to miss their most special day!
I arrived with Gemma and HSB, and there were already many people there as they had all been to the actual wedding in the daytime.
Im not gonna go into too much detail about what happened, or who did what. I just wanted to blog about the awesome atmosphere there was. Everyone was getting along, and everyone was speaking to each other.
Recently there has been quite a few disturbances in the force, many people falling out, and its just generally been shit. But for this one night, probably so as not to ruin the newly wed’s occasion, everyone got on fine. Everyone was talking to everyone. And it was awesome 🙂
It upset me a bit if im honest, as surely everyone can get along all the time?
Isnt life too short for petty arguments?
I guess people will do what they want, and will like and dislike who they want.
I just wish that people would play nice and get along all the time. I know that there will always be the little sub groups, but when all together like at the wedding, or at a show, it doesn’t hurt to say hello to that person that your not really all that fond of. It doenst hurt to make the effort,and show everyone that your a lot more grown up than everyone perceeves you to be.
NB – this is not directly aimed at ANYONE. Its just a general observation of a situation that occurred.
If anyone who has beef with another maxxd member reads this, then just reassess the situation please. What do you have to gain from being stubbern and holding this grudge? Can you even rmember what started the disruption?

I have never liked the brand “Starbucks” – I feel paying so much money for a cup of coffee, is just criminal. So when i read this entry on Forbes, a smile crept on my face.
In a nutshell, Starbucks is going BAD! The fact there are so many competitors, and the cost of dairy products going through the roof causing starbucks to have to put their prices up twice in a year, means that many people favour cheaper alternatives from Maccys or other coffee outlets.
I know i eat at subway, and they do just basically sell sandwiches for twice as much as anyone else does (like starbucks does with coffee) but these two companies are in different leagues. You cant buy a subway style sandwich from anywhere but subway. You can buy a cappa-frickin-chino from tescos.
Whilst searching for starbucks logos, and other such crap, i stumbled upon this little gem from a guy who discusses the history behind the starbucks logo.
