A client of mine reached out as he received a Web Hosting invoice, and wasnt sure what it related to. We have hosted his websites for about 15 years, and he doesn’t have any other websites – so he was quite puzzled to receive what looked like a legitimate invoice

The Fake Nash Digital Invoice

Nash Digital

Nash Digital or Easy Digital Solutions?

I reached out to them on his behalf, and didnt get a response. So I looked into the company in the header (Easy Digital Solutions / easydigitalsolutions.co.uk) and also the company listed against the payment info (Nash Digital Ltd) and neither of them appear to be legitimate businesses.

Nash Digital Ltd

Company Status: Seems to be an active limited company behind this name, Ben Nash and Jack Ernest Nash are directors (Jack seems to have left the company recently)

Website: .CO.UK domain goes to a generic landing page, so, no active website.

Verdict: Scam

Easy Digital Solutions

Company Status: No ltd company linked to that name.

Website: Website URL resolves 403 error page.

Verdict: Scam

Conclusion

So if you receive an invoice from one of these companies DO NOT PAY IT unless you are 100% confident that these people have provided you with hosting or other web services.

And if you are unsure, comment below and ill make contact with you and help you check your website and ensure you are OK to ignore the invoice.

Stay scam wise, peeps!

I just got one of these from “Webaway Ltd”, which is registered with Companies House (15459775) to the same address (20 Wenlock Road, N1 7GU).
It seems that “Ben Nash” is a prolific scammer.

I had a quick look at 20 Wenlock and it turns out they’re a company who offer a registered address. I have a feeling they’ve no idea these clowns are using them for this type of thing

14/10/2024 Our company received an emailed invoice from Webaway Design & Hosting today. We are with a different host. We looked into it as neither their Company number or VAT registration appear on the invoice. Webaway Ltd is incorporated with Companies House and owned by… Ben Nash. SCAM

Also received scam emails from Webaway (webawayltd.co.uk/ – direct link so that the keywords hopefully help people find it on Google)

The best advice I have for you all, report the company to the non-emergency police line.Report to the Cyber crime unit (it takes less than 60 seconds): https://www.ncsc.gov.uk/collection/phishing-scams/report-scam-website

And report them to their hosting provider: abuse-tracker@hostinger.com

Another scam attempt from Webaway Ltd! (webawayltd.co.uk)
    Seeking payment to:
    Account Name: Webaway Ltd
    Account Number: 12461800
    Sort Code: 608371

Perhaps Starling Bank Limited should be taking some action against this repeat fraudster?

    Hi Muhammad.

    Thanks for your comment.

Can you point out to me which bits fall under “defamation”?

As that would imply what I am saying is false, and it isn’t, is it?

It would be better to admit you were wrong, apologise, and stop doing it.

That would be the best outcome here.

    Love and kisses xx

      Dear Olly,

      Thank you for your reply.
The post you published titled “Scam Web Hosting Invoice – Nash Digital Ltd / Easy Digital Solutions” contains multiple false and defamatory claims.

      Specifically:

The word “Scam” in the title accuses our company of fraud — a serious and false allegation.

You stated that our company issues “fake invoices” and engages in “fraudulent activity,” which is entirely untrue and unverified.

No effort was made to contact or verify facts before publishing, showing clear negligence.

These statements have severely damaged my client’s business, reputation, and professional credibility, causing significant financial and reputational harm. Such remarks fall under defamation as defined by the UK Defamation Act 2013.

      Here is the defamatory link;

        Dear Muhammad,

        Thanks for following this up, let me break it down for you one time;

“The word “Scam” in the title accuses our company of fraud — a serious and false allegation – You stated that our company issues “fake invoices” and engages in “fraudulent activity,” which is entirely untrue and unverified.”

But your company DOES issue false invoices – did you actually read my post and the subsequent comments from other people who have all had fraudulent invoices from your company?

Can you explain why everyone here got invoices for services they have never received from your company?

“No effort was made to contact or verify facts before publishing, showing clear negligence.”

Again, if you actually read my post – I DID try and reach out. I used all the contact information I could find, but your company didnt have a web presence and Ben Nash and Jack Ernest Nash made themselves quite hard to find.

        I wonder why?

“These statements have severely damaged my client’s business, reputation, and professional credibility, causing significant financial and reputational harm. Such remarks fall under defamation as defined by the UK Defamation Act 2013.”

Actually, your companies’ fraudulent activities are what have damaged your “clients” reputation. Me bringing light to it just makes it real and holds you all accountable for it doesnt it.

Please dont threaten me with legal shit – look me up first if you have the ability to dive that deep and have access to legal cases that may mention my name 😉

I look forward to your response.

        KR

        0lly
