We have a customer who uses osCommerce for their online shop. For those that dont know its free software, and I’ve always swayed away from it due to the fact I’d not seen it used *well* – anywhere!
They recently contacted me as when they tried to send themselves a test email it displayed the following error message.
“We have detected that your browser does not support cookies, or has set cookies to be disabled”
I googled the error of course, and people were banging on about ensuring the “Force cookie use” admin setting was set to false – it was.
I tried a few things such as ensuring the http path and the https path were the same – when i noticed this at the bottom of configure.php
define(‘SESSION_FORCE_COOKIE_USE’, TRUE);
Ah!
So it had been hard-coded in! Changed true to false and bingo.
