Well, well, well. If it isn’t our old friends over at Nash Digital Ltd, up to their old tricks – but under a new name. Did you receive a SecuroWeb Invoice? No idea who they are? Read on!

Securoweb invoice SCAM email

My blog continues to attract comments from people who are recieving invoices for things they didnt use or want or need and for some reason the company name for payments always seems to be Nash Digital Ltd?

What Is the SecuroWeb Invoice Scam?

Essentially, much like the other blog posts explained, this is just some chancers sending out emails to businesses, with invoices attached. They claim they host the businesses website or emails or whatever and try to get them to pay for hosting.

What’s the catch?

They dont host any of these businesses websites or emails, and in most cases the businesses recieving these fake invoices have never even heard of SecuroWeb.

How does the SecuroWeb Invoice scam work?

The scammers are hoping for every 100 emails they send, they hope that a few of the people they contact aren’t quite sure who hosts their website and just pays the invoice. I have worked with small businesses for 20+ years and I KNOW this scam will work. I have encountered many, many business owners that havent got a clue where their domains are, or their hosting, and just pay those kind bills when they arrive due to fear of having things cut off.

Securoweb Invoice Scam!
Would you look at that… Same address as in the fake invoice my client got, and NASH DIGITAL LTD in the payment info. Thank you to my website commenter for sending this in.

What to do if you are unsure?

If you are unsure what to do about an invoice you received for hosting or other digital services, contact the person that built your website/app/marketing campaign/whatever for you, or who has helped you with it in the past. They should have notes or records of where things are and who you should be paying. If you no longer have access to that person or they are not getting back to you, forward the email to me (scams@0lly.uk) and I will tell you if its fake or not.

Other things to check are the usual red flags, does their website look legit etc etc. In this case, Securoweb .co .uk isnt even a developed website.

The Nash Digital Ltd Boys, Ben Nash and Jack Nash are trying super hard at the moment to scam people it seems! First Easy Digital Solutions, Now SecuroWeb… I wonder if they will use Webaway Ltd as they own that too. Although its probably easier for them to use fake throwaway trading names and then just keep the legit entities for the fake billing aspect of it all.
